OLD CARPATHO-RUSYN GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH CEMETERY BEING RENOVATED
as part of an Eagle Scout Project

The beginning of the project, clearing brush from the graves. Ryan's "Eagle Scout" project will also include the renovation of the old Greek Orthodox cemetery grounds in Shieldsburg, PA. Since the cemetery is no longer used for burial, it has fallen into disuse and disrepair.  The cemetery part of his "Eagle Project" will involve the clearing and removal of the brush from around the grave stones, righting the sunken grave stones, filling in the sunken graves and, scraping and painting the large 12 foot high Greek Orthodox Cross that marks the cemetery grounds.
