died ten hours later. He was 150 feet inside the pit mouth going out after
rails and walking on the empty track. He walked right into the empty trip
which was coming in. If he had been looking he would have seen it, for the
light from the out-side shone in very bright. The trip of mine cars also
made a great deal of noise. He had been warned by his partner to wait until
the trip came in.)
